I am a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy (‘FMH certified’: Swiss Doctors’ Association). I completed my undergraduate medical training in Innsbruck, Austria. My specialist training began in Berne, Switzerland and I worked for several years in Berne at the University Hospital for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, UPD (Bern’s University-Medicine Psychiatric Services). I received extensive advanced training and specialisation courses across the complete spectrum of psychiatric diseases, including interdisciplinary disorders: sleep disorders, migration, consultation and liaison psychiatry, and forensics. More recently, I led the gynaecopsychiatric consultation for several years at the women’s clinic again within the Inselspital.

In addition to my practice based in St. Moritz and my activities at the Inselspital in Berne, I worked at the renowned Institute for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (IPP) in Berne, led by my former chief physicians and another senior physician from the UPD.

For two years, I also worked as part of the team for the Grisons Psychiatric Services (Psychiatrischen Dienste Graubünden). It was there that I forged new contacts, and could experience an exchange with colleagues from my field as well as specialised fields, such as psychologists, social and care services, and other medical specialists (day-clinics, spitex, hospital workers, physiotherapists, KESB [child and adult protection services] etc.).

 My qualification for psychotherapy was received from the University of Basel (Advanced Studies of Psychotherapy). I completed my specialist training in the field of emotionally focused therapy (EFT) under Prof. L. Greenberg (Toronto, Canada), Dr. Phil. I. Hermann and Dr. Phil. L. Auszra (Munich, Germany). Further advanced qualifications followed in the area of Swiss Insurance Medicine, and consultation and liaison psychiatry in Zurich, Basel, Lucerne and Berne. TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) has fascinated me since my studies in Innsbruck. I attended courses in Vienna for over a period of many years with Prof. G. Kubiena and Dr. F. Ramarkes on the subject of diagnosis and phytotherapy. My training in acupuncture took place in the Wolkenstein Institute, based in Vienna, as well as with Prof. Dr. med. A. Schlager in Innsbruck.
